SoftLayer understands the value of total control, and has created a mobile version of its Customer Portal to allow system and service management via Internet-enabled phones and mobile devices. Designed to work on all web-enabled mobile devices, the SoftLayer Mobile Portal has been optimized to take advantage of extra features provided by Apple's iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as Google's Android. The Mobile Portal provides secure access to and control over many of our Customer Portal’s management capabilities, including:

Public Network Approach: Users can directly connect to their servers over the Internet via SSH, Terminal Services, a web-based Plesk administration screen, or other server-control console applications.

Private Network Approach: Users can connect to our secure VPN gateway https://vpn.dal01.softlayer.com to gain access to the private out-of-band management network. Once connected, you may administer your server with SSH, Terminal Services, or other server-control console applications.
