February 27, 2008, Dallas, TX – SoftLayer has announced the immediate availability of all four of the new Windows Server 2008 Editions as options in its full line of dedicated server operating systems (OS). As with all SoftLayer OS offerings, ordering and installing the new OS is available to new and existing customers and fully automated through the company’s online tool and customer portal.

With this new release, Microsoft has significantly enhanced its industry-leading Windows Server platform. The Web Edition has significant enhancements, now comparable to the Standard Edition of Windows 2003. Other major benefits to the updated OS include
