SoftLayer Paves the Way to Success for the Most Promising European Start-ups with Seedcamp Partnership

SoftLayer Catalyst Program Continues Global Expansion Partnering with Europe’s Leading Start-Up Investment Fund and Mentoring Program

Dallas—September 17, 2012—SoftLayer Technologies, the global leader in cloud and dedicated Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), is extending its support for auspicious entrepreneurs in Europe by entering into a partnership with Seedcamp, the region’s leading early-stage micro seed investment fund and mentoring program. From now on, Europe’s most promising start-ups will be able to benefit from the financial support, advanced infrastructure backing and executive mentorship offered by Catalyst, SoftLayer’s next generation technology incubator. 

“We believe Europe has all the right ingredients – environment, talent, capital and role models – to build world leading technology businesses, but it’s hard for young entrepreneurs to develop the right connections, gain validation, build teams and raise seed capital to supercharge their businesses. SoftLayer will be part of the General Seedcamp Sponsorship, getting involved in Seedcamp events in London, Lisbon and Paris and Seedcamp Week, their annual flagship event of the year. With over 400 mentors, this is one of the most important and significant start-up initiatives for the European market. Furthermore, all Seedcamp portfolio teams will be offered a generous hosting credit on the SoftLayer platform for one full year, and select Seedcamp Companies will be invited to join SoftLayer’s Catalyst Program.  Last but not least – SoftLayer will also donate server space for the Seedhack Fin Tech sessions, and all companies who sign up for Seedcamp programs will receive a special Free Cloud Instance offering for a month.
