SoftLayer® Named to Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ List

Company Recognized in First Year of Eligibility for Growth Over Past Five Years

Dallas—November 3, 2011—Continuing to win awards and praise for its impressive revenue growth and track record, SoftLayer^® Technologies, the innovation leader in cloud, dedicated, and managed hosting solutions, today announced its ranking on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500^™ list. This is the first year for SoftLayer to be eligible and included in the program.

The Technology Fast 500 program recognizes companies that innovate, overcome obstacles, and systematically defy the odds. These efforts are acknowledged and ranked as the 500 fastest-growing technology media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies in North America. The program is based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth from 2006 to 2010 and recognizes all areas of technology and includes both public and private companies. SoftLayer’s percentage growth from 2006 to 2010 was 4,694 percent.

This ranking is compiled from nominations submitted directly to the Technology Fast 500 website, and public company database research conducted by Deloitte LLP. To be eligible for the program, companies must:

• Have been in business for a minimum of five years.
• Be headquartered within North America.
• Have base-year (fiscal year 2006) operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD or CD, and current-year (fiscal year 2010) operating revenues of at least $5 million USD or CD.
• Own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues.
