SoftLayer® to Deliver Keynote Address at Parallels® APAC Summit 2011

CEO Lance Crosby to Discuss Market Trends and Opportunities in IT Hosting Industry

Dallas—September 22, 2011—SoftLayer® Technologies, the innovation leader in Cloud, Dedicated, and Managed hosting, today announced that CEO Lance Crosby will deliver a keynote address at the Parallels APAC Summit 2011, in Sentosa, Singapore, on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 11:45 a.m.

Mr. Crosby will present his views on the state of the IT hosting industry discussing key trends, customer adoption and market growth opportunities. He will also outline different strategies for capturing market share based on SoftLayer’s ability to innovate and automate data center services around customer pain points. In addition, Mr. Crosby will provide an update on the company’s expansion into Asia as well as the successful merger of SoftLayer and The Planet®, which created the largest privately-held hosting company in the world.

SoftLayer is aggressively expanding in Asia, opening its first data center and network Points of Presence (PoPs) in Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. Beginning Sept. 23, customers can pre-order services in the new data center, to be deployed when the data center and PoPs officially open for operations on Oct. 3.
