SoftLayer® Ranked One of Dallas’ Five Fastest Growing Tech Firms

Will Present as Title Sponsor and Be Honored at Annual Tech Titans Awards Gala

Dallas—August 25, 2011—SoftLayer^® Technologies, the innovation leader in Cloud, Dedicated, and Managed hosting today announced that the company has been ranked on the Metroplex Technology Business Council (MTBC) Fast Tech List as one of the five fastest growing tech companies in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Final rankings will be announced at the MTBC’s Tech Titans Awards Gala to be held August 26^th at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. SoftLayer is a title sponsor of the event, and Duke Skarda, SoftLayer Chief Technology Officer, will present opening and closing remarks.

The Fast Tech list is comprised of 35 North Texas technology companies and will be published in the September 2^nd issue of the Dallas Business Journal. Rankings are based on companies’ percentage fiscal year revenue growth from 2008 to 2010. The full list and final rankings are announced at the Tech Titans Gala, accompanied by the Tech Titans auction, which helps the MTBC raise money for the Tech Titans of the Future Scholarship.

Requirements to be considered eligible for the 2011 Fast Tech list include having been in business for at least three years, being headquartered in the DFW Metroplex, having base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 and at least $3 million in revenue for the current year, and owning proprietary intellectual property or technology.
